'An organization's ability to LEARN, and translate that learning into ACTION rapidly is the ultimate COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE" -Jack Welch
Technological eyes and ears. Instead of hiring more law enforcers, similar to hiring more elevator boys and girls and various other nonproductive service workers, who do not contribute to physical wealth creation, the government must use technologies. Closed-circuit television, which is increasingly getting cheaper, can be installed all over, so you won't need too many cops, security guards, barangay tanod, etc., to achieve security. They can serve as the PNP's technological eyes and ears. And for those displaced, mobilize and train them into new jobs designed to build the numerous infrastructure and livelihood projects planned for agriculture and manufacturing all over the country. In the drive to bust criminality, the Philippines must keep up with its neighbors and keep in step with the advances in technology as the most innovative and most effective way to reduce crime and corruption.[1]
In today's tour of duty, the members of Masidtalak Class of 2023 were introduced to many of the most cutting-edge technologies used by the PNP. The observation centers on the administrative section, where a senior police non-commissioned officer on duty talks about documents and records stored, in a networked system connected to PNP National Headquarters. Future officers must not only adopt but also investigate and comprehend its workings. A leader may only be an expert in some fields, but it would be much better to understand subjects outside his expertise. The role of an officer is essential and challenging, therefore, embrace innovation across the PNP organization and learn to deal with people daily.
Leadership by adopting innovations involves recognizing and embracing new ideas and technologies that can help an organization stay competitive and achieve its goals. A leader who can adapt to innovations can be more effective at problem-solving, driving change, and developing strategies that position their Organization for long-term success. There are several benefits of leadership by adopting innovations. First, it can help organizations stay ahead of their industry's curve. By recognizing new trends and innovations, leaders can position their Organization to take advantage of new opportunities and remain competitive with other organizations in their field.
As a leader accepting new knowledge from your subordinate, leadership creates an environment of trust and respect between the leader and the personnel. When a leader is open to listening and accepting new ideas and knowledge from their subordinates, it sends a message that the leader values the input and contribution of their team. The Organization creates a positive and collaborative work environment where the associates feel empowered to share their ideas and insights. The vision can lead to higher engagement and job satisfaction, resulting in increased productivity and performance.
As a Cadet, it is essential to understand the significance of embracing innovation in the PNP organization. Today's tour of duty has shown us the importance of staying updated with the latest technologies and systems. A leader who can adapt to new ideas and technologies can more effectively solve problems and drive change, which can position the organization for long-term success. Future officers must adopt and investigate the workings of such technologies to understand the documents and records stored in the networked system connected to PNP National Headquarters. It is essential to realize that a leader may only be an expert in some fields, but it is much better to understand subjects outside their expertise. By embracing innovation across the PNP organization, we can be more effective in dealing with people daily and providing better service to the community.
